Mabel Lucie Attwell (1879-1964) was a much loved British illustrator. Her illustrated edition of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland was first published in 1911.  Her work in this “Alice” shows the influence of Jessie Wilcox Smith, as well as the Art Nouveau movement.
