C.S. Lewis (1898–1963) was a Belfast-born writer, scholar best known for The Chronicles of Narnia. He is remembered as one of the twentieth century’s most influential Christian writers and a master of imaginative fiction.  Pauline Baynes (1922–2008) was the English illustrator whose pen-and-ink drawings became inseparable from Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia for generations of readers.
